Ingredients

What we are considering, and why.

1PEACE is in development. Below is how we are thinking about each ingredient — including what is still unresolved.

Matcha powder, a bamboo whisk and fresh tea leaves in soft morning light

Matcha

What it is
Shade-grown green tea leaves stone-ground into a fine powder, consumed whole rather than steeped and discarded.
Why it may be included
It carries natural caffeine, has real character and colour, and already belongs to an established morning ritual.
Its role in the formulation
The base and the delivery system for the entire formulation, and the source of its caffeine.
What still needs validating
Sourcing, grade, and how much matcha character survives a shelf-stable ready-to-drink process at the quality we want.

Vitamins

What it is
Micronutrients the body needs in small amounts and largely obtains from food.
Why it may be included
Many people take a daily multivitamin separately. Where it makes sense, some of those nutrients could travel in the drink instead.
Its role in the formulation
A considered subset of vitamins at amounts that are meaningful for everyday use.
What still needs validating
Which vitamins are appropriate for daily beverage delivery, their stability over shelf life, and sensible amounts.

Minerals

What it is
Inorganic nutrients such as magnesium, potassium and others that support normal body function.
Why it may be included
They are commonly supplemented, and several fit naturally alongside hydration in a beverage.
Its role in the formulation
Support for ordinary whole-body function as part of a normal diet.
What still needs validating
Forms, tolerability, taste impact and appropriate daily amounts.

Creatine

What it is
A compound produced by the body and found in foods such as meat and fish, stored mainly in muscle.
Why it may be included
It is one of the most extensively studied ingredients in sports nutrition, and interest in its role beyond muscle is growing.
Its role in the formulation
Explored as a daily inclusion for strength, physical performance and cognitive interest.
What still needs validating
Stability in a liquid over shelf life is a genuine formulation challenge, along with taste and appropriate daily amounts.

Electrolytes

What it is
Minerals such as sodium, potassium and magnesium that carry an electrical charge and are involved in fluid balance.
Why it may be included
Hydration is one of the simplest and most overlooked parts of a daily routine.
Its role in the formulation
Everyday hydration support — designed for normal life, not for endurance racing.
What still needs validating
The right sodium level for a daily drink, and balancing hydration function against taste.

Prebiotics

What it is
Fibres and compounds that serve as food for beneficial bacteria already living in the gut.
Why it may be included
Prebiotics are generally more straightforward to include in a beverage than live cultures.
Its role in the formulation
Support for a healthy gut environment as part of the drink's gut-health function.
What still needs validating
Type, amount, digestive comfort at a daily dose, and effect on mouthfeel.

Probiotics

What it is
Live microorganisms which, in adequate amounts, are intended to confer a benefit.
Why it may be included
Probiotics are among the products people most commonly take separately each morning.
Its role in the formulation
A goal of the formulation, if it can be done properly.
What still needs validating
Whether viable cultures can survive processing and shelf life in a ready-to-drink can. If that cannot be achieved honestly, we will say so rather than imply it.
